A new flagship in Miele’s premium range of combination steam ovens

Miele New Zealand introduces the Miele DGC 6865 XXL, an outstanding plumbed in steam combination oven which boasts an extra-large interior among its exceptional features. 

With a 68 litre capacity, neatly presented in 60 cm tall cabinetry, the DGC 6865 XXL is, in fact, the first time Miele has offered a plumbed-in extra-large steam combination oven, adding yet further user convenience. 

The other specifications of the Miele DGC 6865 XXL are also representative of a flagship model. Worthy of special mention is the M Touch display, a high-resolution TFT display, allowing machines to be operated like a smartphone and including a practical search function for automatic programmes. 

Other significant features include Miele's patented wireless food probe to measure the core temperature of meat and the fully telescopic FlexiClip runners with a PerfectClean finish. 

As with other Miele steam combination ovens, users can not only precisely determine operating mode, temperature and cooking time but also the humidity level inside the unit at the various stages of the cooking process. 

Offering more than 200 automatic programmes, the DGC 6865 XXL is a dream to use whether combi-cooking, simply steam cooking, Sous Vide slow cooking, Fan Plus, roof and floor heat, roof heat, floor heat, Intensive Bake, Cakes Special, Gentle Bake or using one of three grill settings., . In addition, users can customise their appliance adding their own favourite programs to save for future use. 

When it comes to achieving excellent results in 'steam only' mode, this model with its extra-large interior excels by demonstrating a very short heat-up time to 100°C to allow nutritious and flavoursome steam cooking to occur. 

This notable efficiency is due to its high-performance steam generator (3.3 kW) and MultiSteam unit, the latter exclusive to Miele steam ovens and steam combination ovens.

Water is drawn into the steam generator behind the rear panel of the oven interior, turned into steam and introduced uniformly via eight ports into the cabinet. This method of generating steam outside the cabinet prevents the inside build-up of limescale. 

The stainless-steel interior of the DGC XXL is complete with a linen-weave finish that is also a PerfectClean surface with its truly exceptional non-stick properties making it so simple to clean.
